The Elephant Rock Challenge - Vagamon
Do you know where the beautiful mountain seen in the new advertisement of Tata Harrier EV is located in Kerala? Even as the Tata Harrier EV demonstrates its power, the black mountain called Anappara catches our eyes. If you want to go to that mountain, which looks like an elephant standing with its head high above the tea plantations, then it is possible through our Vagamon tour package.

Although the Tata Harrier.EV's advertisement calls it Anappara (Elephant Rock), the correct name of the mountain is thangalpara. "Thangalpara" is one of the important tourist attractions in Vagamon, known as the Scotland of Asia. Situated at an altitude of 3000 feet above sea level, this mountain is always covered in thick fog and cool winds. The hilltop location offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes, including Kurisumudi Peak and Murugan Hill. Thangalpara, located in Vagamon, Idukki district, is a Muslim pilgrimage site and a popular tourist attraction known for its unique rock formation and the tomb of a Sufi saint. The spherical rock formation is believed to have grown from a smaller stone that a Sufi saint named Husrath Sheikh Fariduddin used to grind betel nut. The site is also known for its scenic views, trekking opportunities, and the annual Uroos festival held in April.
