Here’s a classic 5-day itinerary for a Munnar – Thekkady – Alleppey tour that balances sightseeing, relaxation, and nature experiences. This is one of the most popular travel circuits in Kerala, perfect for couples, families, or solo travelers.
Arrival at Cochin Airport/Railway Station. Our representative (Driver cum Guide) will receive you. and proceed to Munnar the Nature Lover’s Paradise also known as ‘Kashmir of South India’. Enroute visit Cheeyappara & Valara waterfalls and Karadippara View Point. Also you can enjoy Spice plantations, Rubber Plantations, Pineapple gardens etc. Then check-in into the hotel and rest of the day at leisure, followed by overnight stay at the hotel/resort.
After breakfast, proceed for Munnar sightseeing. visiting Eravikulam National park, followed by Tea Museum. Post lunch, visit Mattuppetty dam, Echo point, Kundala Lake, Viewpoints, Pothamedu view point and Botanical Garden. Note: The Eravikulam National Park tickets can be either booked in advance or purchased from the counter. The park is closed from Feb to April due to the breeding time of Nilgiri Tahr. Tea Museum is closed on Mondays.
Today morning after breakfast at the hotel, pack your bags and check out from the hotel. You will be driven to Thekkady, which is also known as Periyar. Enroute Visit Anayirangal Dam, Spice Plantations etc. Evening Enjoy Kathakali and Kalaripayattu Show(Own Cost). Visit Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the world’s most fascinating natural wildlife reserves, take an evening boat ride at Periyar Lake. Back to the hotel and overnight stay at hotel/resort. Coming back from the ride, you can go for shopping at the spice markets in town. Back to hotel and overnight at hotel/resort.
After breakfast at the Thekkady hotel/resort, you will be checked-out and driven towards Alleppey, This quaint town is by the Arabian Sea and has many lakes, lagoons, and rivers. Alleppey is a popular backwater destination for thousands of tourists every year and is known for its boat races, beaches, marine products, and coir industry. Among the places to visit are Alleppey Beach, where you can fly a kite, ride a camel, watch the sunset from the Alappuzha Lighthouse, and enjoy street food. Overnight at Hotel.
After breakfast check out from the Hotel and drive to Cochin Airport / railway station (depend on your departure place) for your flight / train back home, feeling contented about a wonderful holiday you spent in the God's Own Country.
